Dr. Chris Bart, F.C.A.
Dr. Bart is currently a Professor of Strategic Market Leadership (Strategy & Governance) at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario as well as the Founder, Principal and Lead Professor of The Directors College – offering Canada’s first and only university accredited director certification program.
Dr. Bart is published internationally through his many articles, cases and reviews. He is also Associate Editor of the International Journal of Business Governance and Ethics. He has frequently been quoted in major Canadian business publications including The Financial Post, The Globe and Mail, and Canadian Business.
Dr. Bart received the Outstanding Business Achievement Award for Corporate Governance from the Ontario Chamber of Commerce as well as the Human Resources Hero Award from the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Dr. Bart is also the author of the Canadian business best seller “A Tale of Two Employees” which explicitly describes how leaders can effectively bring their organization’s mission to the front line just by asking four simple questions.
A highly regarded lecturer, Dr. Bart has been named both "Outstanding Undergraduate Business Professor" and "MBA Professor of the Year" on numerous occasions. He has also received McMaster's highest teaching award: The President's Award for Teaching Excellence.
Dr. Bart is a Chartered Accountant. He has served on various organizational Boards and continues to do so. He is also listed in the Canadian WHO'S WHO.
